Bio:
Annie Meichen Liu is a Ph.D. student in the History of Art & Architecture department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her research interests lie in Chinese painting of the Song and the Yuan dynasties, literati culture, and the expression of emotion. She received her B.A. in Art History in 2019, M.A. in Art History in 2020, and M.Phil in Yuan-era Chinese painting in 2023 from the University of Hong Kong. From 2020 to 2021, she curated exhibitions for art galleries and worked for auction houses in Hong Kong.
