Bio:
Adenrele Sonariwo is an art historian and curator whose research interests explore representation and visibility within African and diasporic art histories.
Beyond academia, she is the founder and director of Rele in Lagos and Los Angeles, as well as the Rele Arts Foundation. Through this work, she has supported the careers of African artists and expanded their presence within major international art fairs and global exhibition platforms. She is the author of Ijinlẹ̀: The Aisha and Gbenga Oyebode Collection (5 Continents Editions, 2021), a publication that documents and critically engages a significant private collection of modern and contemporary African art.
