Bio

Dhaval Chauhan is an architect and academician. He completed his post graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 2006 after finishing his undergraduate education from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. In addition, he was involved in the documentation of the old city of Ahmedabad as a UNESCO World Heritage city till 2022. Previously, he has conducted surveys of colonial era housing and sub-cities of Pondicherry. He has worked as an architect in offices across India and USA from 2006 to 2015. He has taught in art and architecture schools in India and USA from 2016 to 2023. He was a part of the Indian Ocean Exchanges Fellowship program administered by the Research Foundation of the State University of New York supported by the Getty Foundation which ran from summer 2021 through summer 2023. He is the current recipient of the Regents Fellowship award at University of California at Santa Barbara.
